A Cappuccino or 3 psychological suspense novels? by Art Smukler, MD, author & psychiatrist

Splurge! Just $2.99 for each ebook. $8.97 for days and days of enjoyment.

Sip a large cappuccino, hang out at your favorite Starbucks or coffee shop and smile as three of my favorite characters, my alter-egos, medical student – Joe Belmont in Little Italy, psychiatrist – Luke Robb in The Secret of Carol Rosa, and author – Jake Bennett in Patient X, run for their lives. Where does the answer to safety lie? Somewhere in their unconscious minds. Surprised? Of course not. I’m a psychiatrist.

Now instead of just Amazon, they are available at Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Vivlio, Smashwords, Tolino, Borrow box, and are easy to get. Just click to either link on my blog or go to amazon.com/author/artsmukler or books2read.com/artsmuklermd

Drinking and reading is the way to go…

Wolves and Politicians, the power of immunity, by Art Smukler, MD, author & psychiatrist

Ranchers in Northern California are begging state officials to approve measures to protect their cattle. There have been 30 confirmed wolf attacks in the last two months, since March 18, 2025. State law can fine ranchers $100,000 and a year in jail if they kill a wolf, now classified as an endangered species.

Many American citizens are begging federal officials to stand up to our duly elected president who daily does whatever he wants – market-shattering tariffs, deportation of innocent people, pardoning known criminals, gutting medical research, undermining a century of medical health knowledge, verbally attacking foreign leaders and anyone who disagrees with him, destroying a world-wide attempt to control global warming so fossil fuel and mining interests can have their way.

Like the helpless cattle who are slaughtered by wily wolves, our democracy is being slaughtered by a wily predator.

One difference between cattle and law-abiding citizens… WE ARE NOT HELPLESS. We must get our elected officials to stop voting in their own interest and vote in the interest of our shaky democracy and a world that is mutually dependent on finding reasonable solutions to living in harmony.

Thanks for reading.
